What Is Photo Selection?
Photo selection is choosing which photos from a shoot move forward, to editing, to the album, to print or to delivery. It usually happens twice: first the photographer removes the frames that should never reach the client, then the client picks the ones they want.
Done by hand, that second step means sharing folders, collecting file names over WhatsApp and matching them up again. Online photo selection puts it in one gallery where every photo is simply Selected or Not selected, and both of you see the same thing.

How it works
How the Photo Selection Workflow Works

Upload the shoot
Create the booking and upload the photos into folders. Failed files are kept so you can retry them.

Cull and sort
Preview photos full size and delete the ones the client shouldn't see: missed focus, test shots, repeated frames. AI photo selection ranks a folder first, so weak and repeated frames are obvious before you look. Folders keep the rest in order.

Client review
Share the gallery. Your client marks photos as selected, filters selected and not selected, and uses Select All or Unselect All per view.

Submit and deliver
The client submits their selection, which locks it. You download the selected set as a ZIP for editing or delivery.

Proofing is the client reviewing photos and approving the ones they want. In Smart Photo Selection the client's submitted selection is that approval.
Selected / Not selected on every photo
Each photo shows its status, and the gallery filters to just the selected or just the not-selected photos.
Submission locks the set
After the client submits, photos can no longer be selected, uploaded or deleted, so the agreed set can't change by accident.
You decide about downloads
Turn client downloads on or off. When on, the client can download their selected photos once the ZIP is ready.
A clear photo period
Each booking shows the date its photos will be deleted, and you can extend that period from the booking.
One gallery link

Guests handled separately
Guests don't need to browse the selection; they can use the face scan photo finder.
Why not just share a folder?
Photo Selection vs. Simply Storing Photos
Cloud storage keeps files safe, but it doesn't tell you which photos the client wants. With a shared drive the client still has to send you a list, and you still have to find those files again.
